Shoveling shift

3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.

Fresh from our morning task at the Berry maze (and a bit of Oreo cake at Mud Dock) the three of us travelled up to Totterdown for a bit more weeding.

This time we were tasked with clearing the back garden plot of pretty much anything growing in order that some plastic sheeting could be laid down and the space made a lot simpler to maintain for our host who was sadly no longer able to manage the garden himself.

It being a nice afternoon and with some tea and shortbread supplied halfway through, none of us was especially keen to rush off so we spent a happy couple of hours working with a slightly under-powered assortment of tools (fork, mini fork and shovel), chatting and clearing as much as we could in the time that we had. At least we didn't have to watch out for any precious berry plants this time!
