A group descended on Peckham Rye park this morning for a top secret trial parkrun event!
The official launch of Peckham Rye junior parkrun is next week, so today was a trial run to iron out any issues. 22 kids between 4 and 14 ran 2km while we marshalled and cheered. They were all brilliant and enthusiastic, and everything went smoothly. We were all wrapped up by 9.30am.
They're always keen for volunteers, and there will be goodgymers there for the next few weeks at least, so come and join! And spread the word to any local children you know...

Thanks for being there for the first ever Peckham Rye Parkrun Juniors and definitely will try to get a few GoodGymers from Southwark (and beyond) involved. A good turnout, which I'm sure will only grow once the word is spread 🥳
