Scrabbling for words...
12 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Redbridge.
- Saturday, 13th of June 2020
- Led by Peter Van Tongeren
The name of the game for this weeks Parkini challenge was indeed, as you have guessed by now, Scrabble.
Since that is a board game, some of the standard rules had to be amended a little to make it fit the Parkini requirements - go out & about and take pictures/selfies with items to complete the challenge set!
This slacking of the rules resulted in a wide variety of words - some were build from letters found on the way, other runners went out with a word in mind and the challenge to find the letters to suit it. Some of the entries received:
- Quizzically
- Waist
- Squeezable
- Medals (very appropriate for the Goodgym Games!)
- Quartz
- Oxyphenbutazone
- Razzmatazz
- Parkinsonism
- Quixotry
- Ventriloquized
Apologies from Jenny & Julia, against all good intentions life got in the way this weekend.
Using the normal scoring method, 3 entries went over 40 points! Only one can have top score though.... thanks to all the zzzz, Dharmesh wins with Razmatazz!
Next weeks Parkini challenge is yet to be confirmed - let's see who's name comes out of the hat...
P.S.... I have the feeling some pics have gone astray - apologies if you spot one missing!
