...John is now far from being a stranger: our fortnightly pre and post shopping chats over the last few months, albeit brief, have made him more like a friend.

Today found John rather tired, and my shopping call roused him from an afternoon nap 😴😁...he had been working on two of his models, The Bismarck, and a Spitfire, late into the previous night...and had only stopped to go to bed when he realised the time...it was 4am! No wonder he needed a power nap!

Today's list was long, but the queues at Asda, short. I managed to pick up everything that John had requested, although a few items needed to be brought from the back, as shelves were in the process of being restocked.

One aisle in particular was looking extremely bare...yet again, bulk buying of toilet rolls left very little choice. Fortunately, I managed to spot a few packets, hidden under a sheet of brown packing paper 😉

Heavily loaded, I made my way back to John's, long after the sun had set...my hi-viz fleece providing protection from the chill night air, as well as keeping me safe 👍
