A soggy run from Ealing to Southall brought us to Mr O's house, where our assignment awaited: rearranging the furniture in the lounge. Earlier in the day, someone else had an even more fun task of dismantling the hospital bed and reassembling it in the lounge. We were coming as the muscle to make that bed and a sofa swap places.

First, we helped Mr O get up from his armchair and move to a safer area before we commenced our operations. Accompanied by a loud and dramatic Bollywood film score on the TV, we pushed, pulled, shuffled and manoeuvred until the furniture landed at the desired locations. Before we finished, Mrs K, Mr O's wife, who had let us in and directed us, grabbed a broom and immediately started sweeping the dust we revealed. We lent Mr O a hand to get him back to his armchair, but he chose the sofa instead. It was in a perfect spot to watch his favourite TV now. Hopefully, Mr O will receive a mattress for the hospital bed too, so it will become equally comfy.

Mrs K offered us an apple and a crisps pack each as a thank you. That, along with the feeling of doing good, made our second damp run much brighter.
