Seasonal greetings from Hackney my friends.... This week we have another guest blogger joining us for the evening.... Introducing and thanking the lovely Sarah MeikleJohn

Last night, a group of us headed off to move some soil for Cordwainers community garden. After a massive trek of 0.2 miles we arrived, panting and out of breath (sarcasm), but with enough energy left to attack a huge pile of soil. We rotated between holding bin liners, putting soil into the held bin liners, and hauling said bin liners full of soil to their storage location near a shed. At some point a wheelbarrow appeared, thanks to my oh-so-rude acceptance of our host's generous offer, and we made short work of the task.

Afterwards, we were in for a surprise: burpees! The lovely Ellie, future trainer for the Brent goodgym, led us in these and a series of other fun exercises. We then did a figure-eight loop around London Fields, stretched a bit along the way and back at base, and headed off to the pub for a quick holiday pint. Great work everyone, have a happy Christmas, and see you all in the new year!

Look out for January taster sessions if you feel like given it a try, we know you want tooooo.... Hackney will be on 17th Januray at 2pm. ;-)
