4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

4 GG Yorkies had the task of moving a sofa from a first floor flat to make space to move the new one in.
With the advice of GG Nick ringing in our ears, we flipped the sofa onto it’s end and safety manoeuvred it downstairs. The hero of the quarter-hour was Tim, who was going backwards down the stairs bearing most of the weight of the sofa.
We then moved the new (smaller and much easier to lift) sofa to its new home. Task done in 13 minutes: fastest mission ever?
