Picking up a Storm

After going on this mission (https://www.goodgym.org/reports/this-centre-offers-safe-h-arbour-thorne-to-the-local-community) a couple of weeks ago, I passed through this green area of Arbourthorne that was in sore need of a clean up.

James and I, along with a few dedicated members of Sheffield Litter Pickers (and a couple of locals) braved Storm Dennis and achieved what we could before the weather became too inclement.

We got 16 bags full, plus a mattress and some other detritus in just an hour or so. There's scope for a whole lot more picking and I may have to look into arranging a semi-regular pick and try to engage some more of the locals too.
