Nine wonderful GG-ers gave up their bank holiday evening to help Clitterhouse Farm House and run 5km!
As the long weekend drew to a close, eight runners descended upon the Queensbury in Brent for another session of fitness and doing good! With the weather so warm we dispensed with the warm up but did talk about the London Marathon next week (details of cheering here) and GG's own Olympics on 3rd August.
Tonight we were off to Clitterhouse Farm House, a goodgym favourite having been helped by both Barnet and Brent on previous occasions. We had a big pile of compost to move and spread and some other odd jobs.
With 2.5km to run we set off and worked our way to the farm house. Along the way we picked Danny and met Valentina at the farm house. We met Patrick, in charge at Clitterhouse his lovely dog Ella who spent the whole evening getting us to throw her ball! Patrick set out some refreshments for us (great spread!) and then we got to work.
The compost pile was deceptively large but with a hard slog we had it all moved and spread neatly ready for some planting at this weekend's community event. Lots of jobs that we got through including:
With everything done we had a few more of the treats, posed for a group photo and then it was time for the run back. With various members of the group peeling off on the run back we were down to five when we were back to base!
A great evening, thanks everyone!
