1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Newham.

Often the most challenging part of a GoodGym mission is finding the address in the first place, so as two of this evening’s trio of prescription deliveries for Royal Docks pharmacy were new to me, I did first check what Google Maps had to say about the matter. Google Maps can have some interesting opinions as well as being woefully optimistic when it comes to predicting journey times, so it was lovely to meet Mr R, who was impressed that I found his house without first going to the same number on a neighbouring street. Apparently it’s a common problem as one street merges round into his and also because the numbering system is the uncommonly found simple ascending! Mrs G was next, then on to Mrs I and her husband on the south side of the docks. Whereas the aforementioned navigational aid was spot on for Mr R, it had Mrs I’s down as a tennis court in a nearby park, so I knew she must be a neighbour of a previous beneficiary Mr A, who may or may not occupy the splash pool. Anyway, it was a nice trip out, with a range of festive lights on display, and the deliveries gratefully received as always.
