The weather had improved drastically compared to last week’s conditions, and this week 124 children came out to run, walk, and skip along the 2km route within Woking Park for junior parkrun event number 136. James volunteered as a timekeeper, and Adam, Anne and Victoria as marshals to cheer the children on to their individual victories. We saw the fastest runners the course has had in nearly two years, with the fastest runner an ‘unknown’ runner (and therefore no logged time), and the second runner finishing in a speedy 7:31, the fastest time recorded on the course since September 2019!
