Mission

More reasons to shop...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Liverpool.

Mr E is shielding, but recently found himself in a situation where he had no food, and no help, so had to go out and do his own shopping. Loaded down with heavy bags of food, he then had to get a taxi home, as it was too far for him to walk. It is this kind of story that makes me realise how important the work of GoodGym is, and the impact it has on the lives of some of the most vulnerable members of our communities.

Still struggling to sort out my bike, I once again enlisted the help (and car) of my fellow Liverpool GoodGymer (and daughter), Kira. Even though she is up to her eyes in wedding planning (she gets married in just over two weeks), she took some time off to drive me to Morrisons and then to deliver the shopping to a very grateful Mr E.

Shopping is such a simple thing to do for someone...but it makes such a huge difference to them.
