Part of our volunteering role in Mexico for the next 5 weeks is a weekly beach clean looking for plastics, rubbish and general marine debris to stop the accumulation of plastic in the ocean - specifically in this area of the protected Mesoamerican Reef in Puerto Morelos.

Isabelle managed to find a large piece of plastic piping and a extremely rusty wrench, and together we found 265 pieces of micro plastics amongst other smaller pieces in our 45 minute session in the 30C heat.
