Knob Gonna Fix This

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Ealing.

Mrs S's gas fire in her living room wasn't firing up which meant that she was feeling the cold. Kash and Sevan were called in to see if there was an easy fix and Mrs S explained to them that the starter knob was loose and that it needed reattaching.

The duo each took turns at examining the handle, putting it in place and turning it to get a feel for the problem. Mrs S was right, there was no flame. She showed them how the identical radiator in the neighbouring room worked, where there was a definite click when the gas was sparked.

Back to the broken fire, the rod under the knob was quite stiff, but it could be turned and gas was heard flowing. There seemed to be a missing piece to mate the knob and rod together. Not a problem that Kash and Sevan could solve, so they recommended that Mrs S call in a professional.
