After 2 community missions on Sunday, Sevan and Steph Ducat went for lunch before running in the streets of Ealing to their next mission which was roughly 6km away. Cold but sunny run and google maps made it fun for both runners as had to squeeze through concrete fence in a park as said turn right...impossible unless you are a magician and can walk/run through concrete. Once arrived at destination, Mrs S and her son welcomed us and guided both to the back garden. The garden needed attention as weed growing in between the slabs and against the walls. Steph Ducat noticed the drainage in the middle where loads of weed was growing and lifted the grills. We both knew why weed was growing here as filled with water, soil etc. Grills were removed and the drainage was cleared completely. Sevan was already on his knees to get rid of the weed in between the slabs. After 60 minutes both felt the impact of being low down on their knees weeding and sweeping the courtyard. Mrs S was very kind with both of us and wanted to feed us, but we mentioned we had lunch not long ago. She brought some water in a jug with glasses in case we were thirsty. At the end, we filled 1 rubbish bag of weed, moss and some dead branches and could feel the efforts of the session on their backs. Both then wondered in the sun, running back home
