Here's what Mrs B of L23 had to say about the mission:

Feedback from referrer: Another lovely report from Pauline! The support will mean so much to Mrs B. Thank you Pauline for all that you have done. Mrs B loves company and it sounds like you both hit it off really well.

Mrs B of L23, mission beneficiary

Following on from my cleaning windows/sewing Dusty mission for Mrs B, a second visit was arranged to sort out some unwanted clothes that were taking up valuable wardrobe space.

Before I started, I gave Mrs B copies of the photos that I had taken of her 'family', which I had put in a frame, and she shared with me a poem that she had written, and was hoping to have framed.

Having limited mobility, Mrs B was becoming anxious about the jobs that she could no longer do on her own. So, when I arrived, Mrs B was excited at the prospect of finally clearing out items that hadn't seen the light of day for almost 30 years!

Armed with a roll of bin bags, I started taking out one item at a time, so that Mrs B could decide whether it was to stay...or go.

Many of the cardigans, dresses, suits and jackets were deemed too big, and the 'to go' pile grew.

After two hours, four bin bags were filled...one of which had 10 pairs of shoes!

Mrs B was delighted with the space that had been created...and the many rediscovered items of long forgotten clothing.

As we chatted, Mrs B told me about a swarm of flying ants that had invaded her livingroom, through the window...when clearing them away, a wooden cross had been knocked off and broken.

As I was to return on Saturday to collect the bags, I offered to try to glue the cross, too, which I did.

Mrs B was happy to have the bags removed, and her cross returned. We had another lovely chat before I left...and I am sure that I will be seeing her again before too long.
