Four eager Goodgymers headed back to assist at the covid vaccination centre this Friday afternoon taking over the baton from Judy, John, Katie CR and Paul who had been there for the morning shift. Jo arrived early and got a welcome gift of a Birds trifle mix from John and Vicki, Kat arrived shortly after and we headed up to get our covid tests when Katie L and Eli arrived. Kat was at the church meeting and greeting the patients coming into the clinic, she also brought some biscuits which were consumed by the volunteers there. Eli was doing the temperature checks on the patients coming in and Katie L was managing the walkie talkie duties. We also found out that Katie had been offered a homemade sausage roll which wasn’t shared amongst the others :-) Jo was in the warmth of the medical centre and guided patients from the treatment rooms through to the waiting room. Later in the shift Kat came in from the cold and swapped with Jo where she was introduced to the cookies and Cadbury heroes. There were about 300 vaccinations for the day which is another great achievement for the medical centre. Keep an eye on our happenings page to check for the next community missions and availability
