Mission

It’s Bin A Good Day

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Norwich.

I turned up to Mrs J’s and she had some bin bags ready by her wheelie bins.

Whilst she’d been in hospital for 10 days, someone(s) had decided to fill her recycling wheelie bin with general rubbish... not in bin bags. Sadly the thoughtful council would not sort this out for her.

This meant my task was to sort through the whole bin (which was full to the top) and separate what was recyclable or not.

Having gagged many times while picking out old mouldy chicken leg bones, oranges and who knows what else... I sorted through the whole bin and gave it a bit of a disinfectant afterwards.

I then ran a mile back home, whilst gagging a few more times to the delight of passers by.

It’s a real shame someone would do this to someone vulnerable while they’re in hospital but it’s good to have GoodGym on board to come to the rescue.
