It was a bright sunny February afternoon, and I joined rangers and volunteers from Heeley People's Park to help with the ongoing task of coppicing Hazel trees.
This basically means chopping and sawing them down to the base so they can grow back stronger and less twisty.
We defeated another 4 out of the 41 that need tackling and my arms got a good workout!
