I AM GROOMGYM !!!!

There was some head-scratching required to figure out how to combine several things into a snappy enough pun... not sure it came out ok...

On a clearly wintery evening 5 Goodgymmers braved the wind & cold and assembled at our base at Wanstead House to help out and celebrate a couple of accomplishments in the process!

Ann, looking after Wanstead House, had asked if we could lend a hand keeping the seemingly ever present pile of leaves under control and left us the tools ready in 'our' room. So we set to work raking excess leaves from between the plants and scrape dirt & moss from the car park surface along the edges of the beds.

A nice run round the block was exactly what was needed to warm up again, with the topic of conversation surprisingly centering around adventures in the cold...

Back at base, it was time to celebrate. First of all, with a reference to the Spartans in the movie with the same number in the title, it was aunty Linda's 300th task tonight! What better way to celebrate than with Colin the Caterpillar, a firm favourite at GG Redbridge. The other part of the celebrations is perhaps a little more obvious... Dharmesh will be getting married in the next couple of weeks! Last night at a little get-together he was presented with a decorated Goodgym shirt, which he proudly wore on tonights run.
