This afternoonโ€™s task was already going to be magical as it reunited me with one of my favourite Goodgymmers, Victoria, with whom I enjoyed a pre-mission lunch ๐Ÿ’– To add to that, I was also looking forward to finally meeting Samia, whose name I recognised from a large number of entertaining mission reports ๐Ÿ˜„

After saying hello to Samia, we knocked on Ms Mโ€™s door and were warmly welcomed into her home. She quickly showed us through to her garden, and I think we were all pleased to see how neat it was before weโ€™d even started doing any work! It was obvious that this mission would be a total snip!

Our mission for the afternoon was simple: Ms M wanted us to move a plant from one pot to another and to do some weeding to bring some order to her garden.

Initially, we all started on the weeding, using my Mary Poppins-esque bag of gardening tools. I think this was predominantly so that we could chat about differences between the various GoodGym areas in both their missions and their group runs. We also chatted about some of the more interesting missions Samia has done recently (including one involving Africa and a clock!), and three pronged cultivators (because why wouldn't you?)

As we were finishing up, Victoria become our resident Happy Potter by tackling the movement of the plant from one pot to another. Meanwhile, Samia was learning how to ride a broom in anticipation of playing a game of Quidditch while I was adopting a philosophical stone toad as an unfashionable pet. Not too sure that anyone would take us for anything other than a bunch of muggles though!

Our task over pretty quickly, we took a couple of photos of the order brought to the garden from our weeding, and made our goodbyes to Ms M. She has a beautiful outside space so I hope she can enjoy it in this lovely sunshine for a least a little longer before winter creeps back ๐Ÿ˜Š
