A big welcome to the group for:
Give em a cheer!
Hope to see you all back soon!
With the Xmas period not being kind to most peoples waistlines and fitness goals and a lot feeling a little 'bulbous', it was great to see so many people out on our first group run of 2018, truely commited on a wet and windy Tues eve to battle the Xmas buldge and start 2018 off on the good foot!
After we did all our hello and Happy New Year's we head off into the night air toward our task for the evening which was with GORGEOUS GARETH of REGATHER who was waiting for us ready with tools and bulbs ready for planting on the magnificent mound in the public garden of Regather.
We promptly split into 3 teams, each with spades, a light, trowells, some fancy hole makers and a crate full of daffodil bulbs. Each team made quick work of their bulbs and the task was complete in super quick time, which meant we had time for a quick litter pick of the area and a fancy group photo with some studio style lighting!
As the team smashed through the task this gave us even more time for some fitness so we broke the run back to the Showroom Cinema up with a number of exercises and challenges across the city including:
Exercises in a multi-storey car park; that's wrong on every level!
A GREAT EFFORT from everyone was put in with a harder session than usual to set 2018 off on the right path.
After some stretching and talk of how much @GGSHEFF will SMASH the Jan challenge we headed inside for liquid refreshment and a natter.
Until next, time. Happy Running!
