Heading out of York to somewhere none of us had visited before inevitably caused confusion, especially as I put the incorrect address on the task. All five of us made it through and were put to work in the garden to help get it ready for the annual charity garden party.

Nicky, Claire and Charlotte got to work weeding the raised beds whilst Alistair helped Jill further round the path. I fought and eventually beat some particularly vicious nettles and then dealt with some slightly less nasty weeds that had made themselves at home on the path.

The hour passed very quickly and the garden was already looking much more like a party venue by the time we left.

Now in its third year, Jill is hoping exceed last year's fundraising effort with the garden party and raise over £1,500 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and a local animal charity (whose name I foolishly did not write down).
