After a rather long week, I made my way to the task during a particularly drizzly Friday evening. This person's garden had been overgrown with some impressive brambles and needed cutting back.

Rather excitedly, I was given a choice between a small or a large fork, giving me free reign to test out what it might be like to be Poseidon in my new watery (rainy) world. As I cleared some of the unwieldy brambles I pondered whether the four prongs would disqualify me from taking on the Greek god but I decided he'd probably just be jealous with his tiny trident.

Using secateurs and the fork to pull out the roots (which was wonderfully easy given that the ground was soft from the rain), I quickly worked to cut back as much of the overgrowth as I could. Time really flew by and I found it to be incredibly therapeutic.

I ascertained that space in the garden bin was soon to be a valuable commodity as I worked through the weeds. With this in mind, I worked on chopping each of the thick brambles into smaller pieces to maximise on space (and decided I might go into engineering if the whole ruler of the sea thing doesn't work out).

After 90 minutes, the rain started to slow and the bin was full so I called it a day. The person's lovely son stated he would take care of cleaning the equipment and I was able to head on home, walking away with a much clearer head myself. :)

What a wonderful, delightful, colourful report! Thank you so much. If you'd like to return to the do anymore to the garden, let me know and I will join you. I did clear the front a bit last Monday. However, my summary was a mere, 'cleared weeds'. Poor against your wonderful report ;)
