All three of us cycled into Redbridge Mutual Aid Food Bank at Frenford Sports Club.

Although we were early other volunteers had already unpacked the delivery so we busied ourselves stacking shelves, sorting out "toilet roll mountain" and bringing out the trollies. James also ended up flat on the floor sorting out stuff that had gone under the shelves.

We were soon given packing sheets, unfortunately they were short of stock and we were packing up half measures of a lot of items which is why we seemed to finish in double quick time.

James then sorted out some items that were almost at their sell by date so we could ensure they were used in tomorrows packing and we restacked the shelves with the stock that we did have. There was even time for a little sit down and chat before the tummies started rumbling - a side effect of being surrounded by food when you haven't had any dinner- so we got on our trusty bikes off home to get fed.

NB Linda was not sitting around as much as the photos those pesky boys took would have you believe 😂
