Having left our two dogs home alone, I set off to find the home of Mr J and Susie.

Mr J has limited mobility and is unable to take his dog for her essential walks, as he used to do.

Susie, the Shih Tzu, is a tiny black bundle of energy, and couldn't wait to get out.

A short walk through the estate brought us to the canal, where we enjoyed a peaceful stroll and Susie checked out some of the local wildlife.

A path led us off the canal, and into a park, where I spied an ice cream van...right on time, as I was just in the mood for a 99'er.

Susie had a good time, too, enjoying a magical, mystery walk through another part of the estate. Here, we saw a street where every house boasted an apple tree, bending under the weight of the fruit, we were even invited to help ourselves...I will definitely be back to take up that offer.

After an hour of exploring the local area, I returned Susie to Mr J, who was very grateful for the help.
