After picking up a shopping list from Mr J, we had a chat about his latest model making projects. He showed me how fibre optics had been used for the lights in his spitfire, how far along he had got with his Terminator, and the finished London double decker bus...the detail on all of his models is amazing.

Asda was, as usual, quite busy, but I managed to get around in less than an hour. The only item not available was one of the frozen meals...Mr J had emptied out his freezer, so was re-stocking.

At the checkout I realised that I'd not brought any bags from Mr J. I had one bag of my own, had to loosely pack both panniers and use bungee cords to secure the extra items onto the bike rack :)

Fortunately, Mr J is not far from Asia, so I was able to wobble my way back up the hill, and decant everything into bags, at his front door.

Mr J had some good news to share...he has heard that his bowling club may be opening very soon...possibly by the end of the month. I do hope this is the case, as he has so missed getting out, enjoying a game on most days. He has missed the exercise, too.
