Here's what Ms R of YO23 had to say about the mission:

Response from the referrer - 'This is fantastic, thank you so much!'

Ms R of YO23, mission beneficiary

Lucy and I met at Ms R's house where our task was to clear the brambles from the back of the garden.

Lucy immediately got her hair tangled up with one particularly enthusiastic bramble as she propped up her bike next to the gate. Once I'd cut her free, we took our revenge on the prickly beasts, cutting them back wherever we could find them.

Lucy went for the 'tug of war' approach on some of the more stubborn branches and won every time.

Before long we'd revealed the bench at the back of the garden (complete with fancy teacup and saucer), returned several footballs to the neighbours, and made the entrance to the garden wider and safer to get through.

Ms R was really pleased to see her garden starting to look a bit more like its old self.
