Board Stiffless...

Today saw us run to one of the charities we help out a lot, Hope Housing. Hope is supported housing for single homeless individuals. They also provide training and education to their residents to enable them to move forward into independent living i.e. non-supported accommodation and seeking employment.

They currently house 80 vulnerable people with multiple issues including: - Homelessness - Ex-offenders - Foster care / lack of adhesion with family - Drug & alcohol abuse - Unemployment - Mental health problems i.e. depression and anxiety

Due to birthdays, meetings, band practice and illness quite a few of our usual group were missing which was a shame, but welcoming Laura to her first group run pretty much made up for it!! We wanna see you next week again! Please give her a cheer to welcome her on board!

This week Mark had us moving lots of boards, plaster boards etc from one shelving rack to another and adding new shelves to tidy the shed up. Whilst one group was doing that the other group were moving beds and drawers to the garage. The group in the shed had music and the group outside had fresh air...so not sure who had the best setting...I think the guys outside did...I'm sure they'll argue that....

I would also like to applaud Daryl and Caprice for joining the GoodGym Bournemouth Task Force. The first one ever set up in Bournemouth. They will be helping out with organising some more social events for us to hang out together and generally lend a hand here and there. Well done for stepping up guys! I appreciate it!

Daryl has another 10 mile race this Saturday to finish off his Legion series...Good Luck Daryl! We hope you smash it!

Next week we're running to Boscombe to paint some Church gates!
