Today was day 4 of painting the gates at Hodgkin park. For the past couple months, Goodgym has been helping Urban Green paint all the gates at the top of Hodgkin Park. Mike our park ranger from Urban Green has dug out a picture of Hodgkin park from when it was last painted about two decades ago and we are slowly trying get the gates back to it's previous glory. Today we each grabbed a tin of paint and got to work. It was very satisfying job. We had a lot of local residents come over and tell us how much they appreciated all the work we were doing to make the park look pretty. After two hours of painting and a much needed coffee and biscuit break, the gates looked all bright blue and fabulous.

We would be back at Hodgkin park on 25th June to finish the painting job. Sign up for it here https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/paint-the-gates-at-hodgkin-park-with-urban-green-newcastle-part-3

We also have our usual Monday evening session where we would be leafleting for Recyke y'bike. https://www.goodgym.org/v3/sessions/leafleting-for-recyke-y-bike-s-book-and-bike-swap-event-part-1
