.. helping is our game,

We're all together and painting was our aim,

So cheer us on through the dark and rain,

'Cause GoodGym, GoodGym is our name.

Actually the rain stopped just in time for our run and it was a lovely warm welcome from Angela and her colleagues at Age UK Bexley when we arrived to paint the lounge at their Day Care Centre in Sidcup.

The Centre offers day respite and a range of services for people living with dementia. Age UK gives vital support to older people so it was nice for us to help such an amazing charity.

In readiness the Age UK team had already painted along the skirtings and ceilings so we got busy with rollers applying a fresh coat of powder blue paint to the walls.

There was a moment of singing, lots of nattering, and a fine splattering of pale blue on arms and hands as we cracked on.

It was a big room but with six of us working together we got the job done in our alloted hour. A great arm workout too.

Thank you Jack from GG Head Office for traveling across town to join us.

We're painting again next week, the music room at Holy Trinity Lamorbey Primary School. I wonder what colour paint we'll be using there? Come along to find out!
