A really enjoyable mission for Paul and myself this morning as we found ourselves at a lovely cottage on the edge of the Blaise Estate.

We encountered a beautiful yet somewhat overgrown garden and in conversation with Ms Z's son. agreed to prioritise the tidying up of the driveway and wall that leads to the back garden.

A mixture of brambles, ivy and bindweeds stood in our way but with a vast array of shears, loppers and rakes we managed to clear the driveway and wall to leave the area looking much less overgrown and more manageable.

In truth we could have been here for a week and there would still have been plenty to do but it was great to spend a couple of hours in beautiful surroundings to get the ball rolling.

We were rewarded with a most welcome cup of tea, crisps and choccy biccies for our efforts before trundling off again. Would be great to come back again to see the garden restored to it's former glory!
