Feedback from the referrer: "It appears that Mr C spread his web of support over a large area. I was not aware that anyone else had been asked to complete this task. Mr C was adament he needed support with this task. I apologise and thank you both for trying. I am very happy his bed has been replaced."

Michelle and I were on for our second good deed of the day, making our way on bike from Fulham Palace up to Hammersmith in the teeming rain.

After a bit of a kerfuffle finding Mr C’s place (we didn’t have a house number on our mission listing), we rang the doorbell and were let in by Mr C’s perplexed looking carer.

It transpires that the bed for Mr C had already been moved earlier in the week, and he had a shiny new hospital bed in its place already. There wasn’t much for us to do then, other than apologise to Mr C for disturbing his watching of the Coronation, and we head back off out into the rain for our ride home.
