Beauty is in the eye of the gas holder

My trip down to Beckton gave me a tenuous excuse to detour past the site of the old gas works. Once the largest of its kind in the world, what remains other than a couple of listed holders is often used as a film location for those requiring a dystopian or post apocalyptic feel (1984, Full Metal Jacket, an Oasis video, for example...)

Miss R lives much nearer the more aesthetically pleasing home of one of my favourite Victorian impounding stations. She's recently moved to the area and currently self isolating, but without any nearby friends or family, so she was very grateful to receive her delivery from Royal Docks today.
