An eggs-citing discovery in the garden

This morning three terrific GoodGym-ers, Jody, Fay and Danny ran to Mrs Ms house in Barnet to weed her back garden so she could enjoy sitting out in the summer.

She had some very nifty weeding tools that we couldn't wait to try out so we got stuck in on the patio.

As we were weeding a little robin came to join us, he checked up on us on a regular basis to make sure we were doing a good job for Mrs M!

An exciting moment for both Mrs M and us GoodGymmers happened when Danny went to sort the hose reel and discovered three little bird eggs inside! So there will be no hosing in the garden for a while! Resident GoodGym "twitcher" Fay got on the case to find out what eggs they may possibly be. More than likely they were robin eggs and the little bird that was watching us around the garden was making sure their eggs were protected!

After the excitement, Fay and Danny moved up to get cracking on the patio whilst Jody stayed on the lower yard and did a intricate job of sweeping and tidying it to make it absolutely perfect.

After a couple of hours we had done a great job of the back garden, and both Mrs M and the robin approved too!

Just as Mrs M put out out some lovely tea and scones on the Patio table, in a truly British fashion, the heavens opened and we had to make our way inside for a quick cuppa before heading our separate ways, Danny to another Good gym mission!
