Mission

A little less volume, a little more conversation...

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Islington.

Ms P had apparently been receiving complaints from her neighbour that her TV was too loud - having seen a few tellies in my time, I thought I'd be reasonably well equipped to solve the issue...but this was one of those GG missions where you leave not certain whether you've completely solved the issue, or whether the issue was more than just the volume of the TV, as Ms P did mention that her neighbour complains "about lots of things"...if ever a mission required the wisdom of Colombo, this was it...

When I did turn on the TV for the first time, the volume was at the max setting, so after a few tweaks on the menu screen, playing with the remote and some switching on and off, the TV seemed to switch on always back at the lower (acceptable) level. What I couldn't find was anyway to set a maximum volume to prevent the situation reoccurring.

We then had a good discussion about her cats and I assured Ms P that if her neighbour continues to complain, someone from GG would be happy to return to take a further look. I left with my fingers firmly crossed that Ms P and her cats would now be left in peace.
