Today was to be our last group run of 2019 and it marked a special one too.

Daryl, our longest serving member, hit the massive milestone of

200

good deeds!! An epic achievement, all accumulated through, missions, group runs and coach runs. Three years of doing good in the community and making it a better place to live in. You're amazing Daryl and we're super lucky to have you. Sorry the weather didn't play along and allow you to wear your cape out on the run!

Sean hit the magical 50 that gets him the back t-shirt and Marianne rocked her 25th good deed! So an evening of special numbers!!

And going with numbers 10 hardy runners were determined to end 2019 with a bang and didn't let the rain dampen their spirits. The wind tried to blow our good vibes away, but didn't succeed...we even welcomed back Oli from last week...either he's super keen on painting or he actually likes us!! Hope to see you again in 2020 Oli!!

Our run took us through the gardens and with a number of obstacles....obstacles in the shape of ginormous puddles....or at least they started as obstacles on the way there...with little light some were hard to dodge....some were spread across the whole path and were impossible to dodge...

By the time we got to the school and Paul came out to meet us we had embraced the rain and everything it brought with it, the 4km run there flew past...although we did welcome the indoors of course!

Paul took us in and led us to the corridor we were going to be painting. A nice narrow corridor which meant we'd all be nice and close to each other...just how we like it!

With Hannah taking the lead we spread out with a paint brush each and started to use our best Karate Kid brush strokes....some better than others....Mr Miyagi would have been proud though!

With a bit of time on our hands and twitchy ones at that....Neil ended up with a white calf....some with stylish patches on their treasured GoodGym shirts...go faster stripes and even camouflage on their faces....

We washed the brushes and said our good byes, setting another date for January, to come back and finish the other side of the corridor!

We headed back the same way we came and this time tried to go through all the puddles! Trying to strategically splash each other...not childish at all...and so much fun!

We got back to the hotel super thirsty to we had a quick drink and made plans for the future!

Well done everyone for coming along and for such a great year. I hope 2020 is even better and we all continue to do great things!

Huge hug to everyone, have a great Christmas and see you in January!
