A bright idea

Mrs S showed me three lightbulbs which needed replacing in her flat: one in the hallway, one in the bathroom and one in the living room. We assembled the replacement bulbs she’d bought from a local shop and started with the hallway. Once I’d replaced the bulb in the hallway I went to fit the one in the lounge but on flicking the switch on, nothing happened. She assured me she’d tried this already and was sure it was a fuse problem and maybe someone would have to come to repair it. I managed to locate the fuse box however and flick the tripped one back on and ta-da - light in the living room! The tricky one was in the bathroom as it was a bulb attached closely to the ceiling within a light fitting unlike the others which dangled a bit from the ceiling. Mrs S didn’t have any replacement bulbs for this so I offered to pop to a nearby shop to collect one and fitted the new bulb and the cover back onto the light fitting when I got back. Mrs S now has a well lit home and can find her way around easily, hurrah!
