On Tuesday 5 May we had yet another lockdown quiz, this time organised and hosted by Stuart. To say the questions were random was an understatement, with topics including 80’s music, film characters and volcanoes.

About half of us seemed to be having trouble ‘logging on’ but after a few twiddly bits we all got there in the end. Usually it would be Lily we are all waiting for, but this time Charles got sent to the Headmaster for arriving (without pen and paper) late once the quiz had already started.

Once we got going the random questions were coming thick and fast – venomous snakes, Henry VIII, giant dogs, Brad Pitt’s front teeth. Talking of Brad Pitt, a couple of the ladies liked the picture of him with bare torso – apart from Cath who has a penchant for Ray Winstone (now there’s random!)

The great thing about these Zoom meetings is being able to see one another every week. It really is weird at the moment being at home all the time. Everyone seemed in good spirits and enjoyed the random questions. Lovely stuff.

Congratulations to Doctor Paul, who won the quiz by one point. He was accompanied by his beautiful daughter sitting on his lap though – did she help him??

Next week we have another quiz, hosted by Charles. It will be a ‘TV themes’ quiz. Can’t wait!

Thanks Stuart. Little ones helped by being asleep. A few quizzes recently whilst they have been awake has been a challenge
