20 people ran to shift manure for Morpeth School, garden for an elderly resident and to move soil for Sutton House

"We have been asked to sit outside because the pungent smell of manure is upsetting the customers" Patrick relays to the rest of the table when he returns from the bar...Just an average night at Hackney GoodGym then we all thought as we collected our drinks and bags and moved into the garden.

Earlier that night, Kevin and I, who have been confirmed not to be criminals, headed over to help a lady whose garden needed weeding and clearing. We did this as quickly as we could whilst her dog 'Pizza' ran rings around us, and I irritated Kevin by asking if every single thing was a weed before removing it from the ground. We knew help was needed at Morpeth School so we hurried through, with the excitement that for Kevin and I it was BOGOF Tuesday, so we didn't just get to help with one task, we could run to meet the rest of the group and do two!.

As soon as we arrived there was an instant regret...had they seen us? was it too late to escape and pretend the first task was taking ages?! But then I realised that we couldn't turn our backs on the rest of the team who were clearly working tirelessly to move the biggest pile of steaming sh!t I had ever seen and smelt....well that, and the fact that Ade had already seen us and thrust shovels in our hands!

The whole group pulled together, filling wheelbarrows and bags at high speed, running and depositing the manure in it's new home and then, just like Oliver Twist, we went back for more! The pile wad never ending and everyone worked together tirelessly to move about half it before we had to run back and head to the pub for Lauren's birthday.

Whilst we did get relegated to the garden for stinking out the pub, the barmaid did ease the blow with 2 portions of free chips which were very well received by everyone.

Look out for mine and Will's crowd funding page coming soon, we are planning to to start an 'eau de body confidence' fragrance line so you too can experience results like we have had tonight.

The end.

I can only imagine how bad you all must have smelt as a group: I stank badly enough on my own! Sorry I missed the pub, will make it to some drinks soon.
