Willesden Green underground station gardensThe Willesden Green Town Team have been busy gardening at Willesden Green station in preparation for the London in Bloom Competition.
They need help with digging out soil and plants from a number of pots and large planters on the platforms at Willesden Green station. This will enable them to maintain the plants more easily and safely for volunteers.
It will be working with soil, plants and using gardening tools (eg shovels, forks, trowels and secateurs etc), so bring along any gloves if you have them (they have a few).
The work will be on Willesden Green underground station platforms 1&4 (decommissioned Met lines), so all volunteers will need to be registered and must wear the High viz vests provided during the gardening session.
Shadi will meet any volunteers by the cash points just inside Willesden Green underground station (before barriers), and you can stay as long as you are able. Please note that the evening session will only go ahead if there are sign ups, so please sign up promptly if you are able to attend.
How are you getting there?
