Open Orchard
The Open Orchard project connects communities through fruit and planting fruit trees in public spaces.

Lambeth GoodGymer Saoirse reached out to ask if we could help out the Open Orchard Project and of course we said we would be delighted to!

This week we have an extra session so check it out:

We have a ground preparation/digging session coming up this Sunday 7th. We are preparing the soil so we can plant up around a car park at West Norwood Kwik Fit. This is a pioneering project where we are working as volunteers to green a bit of neglected business land. Kwik Fit are paying for the plants. We are choosing plants that will support pollinators and which will improve biodiversity (no pollinators = food shortage for humans).

And so we need as many people as we can to get digging! It would be advisable to bring sturdy shoes/boots that can get muddy. Tools provided.

Meeting at Kwik Fit West Norwood;

63 Knights Hill, Norwood, London SE27 0HN

Meet time from 10.15. The session ends at 12. Even an hour of someone’s time would boost our little group. Some of us are getting a bit old to do heavy digging!!!

Contact for today is Kim on 07986 834101 in case of questions.
