The Big Bear Run is a 10k run hosted by Aslam Bryan Wildlife Park and College which aims to raise funds for Project Moon Bear. The college have asked for volunteers to help make the day a success, so we will be doing various tasks including but not limited to :

  • Providing water at the water stands
  • Directing cars to the designated car parks
  • Directing people to register and around the site
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Encouraging runners on the route

Disappointingly, runners are not required to moon the rescued bears. Nor do the bears hilariously chase the runners round the course.

Basically, there will be no bears.

I will update this listing with more detailed timings etc. nearer the time. Volunteers will receive a family pass for the wildlife park they can use on the day or at another time. It sounds like it will be a fun day so let's get as many people involved either as volunteers or runners. 😁
