GLOW Liverpool Event VolunteersPlease note that this community mission has been cancelled.
Memory Walk is Alzheimer's Society's original fundraising walk for people of all ages and abilities.
We need a crew of GoodGym runners to help out stewarding the event and supporting the walkers - can you help?
What does a volunteer do?
During the evening, our volunteers will either be based on the route with the walkers, or in the event site. Roles are allocated on the night.
Route marshal: These volunteers are placed in pairs along key points in the route, to ensure walkers are safe and heading in the right direction. This role is perfect for an enthusiastic pair to love to cheer on walkers and keep them motivated! Event site volunteer: These volunteers stay on the event site, and interact with the walkers by selling merchandise, assisting with queries, keeping the site clean and tidy, and congratulating walkers with medals and water as they cross the finish line.
We're looking for a team of at least 6 people to help out at this special event. Sign-up ASAP and full details will be emailed to you a couple of days before the event.
How are you getting there?

We decided that it wasn't the right thing for us to attend a mass participation event at this time.
