Race Details
The Stockport Urban 5K running race is the first of its kind in Stockport. A timed 5k course on fully closed roads, starting and finishing at the Enduro & Cycling Festival Event Village of St Peters Square in Stockport.
The course will take in the sights of the Old Town and Market Hall before heading out along Fred Perry Way towards Vernon Park then back, taking in the epic hill at New Zealand Rd.
All participants will receive a medal and goody bag on completion and water will be available on the route and a bag drop available on the day.
This run has been organised in memory of Will Garner and Dave O’Brien, both worked in the Stockport Council Street Lighting Team. We are running to raise money for charities nominated by each of their families – The British Heart Foundation and Beacon Counselling. Both are dearly missed by all who knew and worked with them.
Entry in advance and open to anyone 14 years old and above. The race entry fee is £15 per person and all profits go to the charities nominated.
