After a very last minute task change (we'll be back in Stepney another day!), we were grateful to be welcomed by our friends at Hollybush once more for a wonderful variety of tasks in their colourful family picnic area and vegetable patches. It was lovely to welcome to new starters Charlotte, Adam & Dan to GoodGym group runs & as we arrived, the group split up in 3 to level a laurel bush, weed some rose flower beds and paint some logs and a novelty xylophone with some lovely primary colours. The laurel group made light work of the bush and shifted their attention to a pile of troublesome thorny sticks which had been looming in the corner for a good few weeks. With the help of 6 of the team, who also had to sift through some interesting graphic literature which had also been discarded among the sticks, the pile was quickly gone and we were all able to regroup and admire the lovely rosebushes and newly painted picnic garden. After the task, we had a quick warm-up in the local park followed by a jog to the east end of Victoria Park. The original plan of using the running track was thwarted by the remnants of the park's musical festivities, though we were able to use the benches and bins along the pathway for some fartlek running. Wonderful work for a last minute task change, well done all!

I'm sad there's no pics of the novelty xylophone!
