Spring has sprung and this is the first chance this year to get involved at the Mutton Brook Tiny Forests.

There are now not one but FOUR Tiny Forests on the site, so there is plenty to do, and Goodgym will be there to help the local community maintain this special site.

After the first Tiny Forest was planted in 2022, three more were planted in March 2025, as part of an ongoing science experiment to find out the ideal planting conditions for these urban forests. For those who are new, there will be a introduction to the research project.

Tiny Forests are dense and rapidly growing native woodland in a small area. They provide a protected habitat for wildlife, capture carbon, filter the air of harmful particulates and reduce flooding and soil loss.

There are now more than 200 Tiny Forests in the UK and the number keeps growing. The Mutton Brook one is particularly popular with the local community.

Join us for the usual mix of citizen science, litter picking and weeding.
