Independent Newham Users ForumThis week we’ll be helping out at the Independent Newham Users’ Forum (INUF) – a user-led mental health charity based in Stratford.
INUF supports people living with mental health challenges in the borough of Newham. Their community hub at Ithaca House hosts a wide range of wellbeing activities including drop-ins, yoga, art, dance and other sessions that help people connect, express themselves and thrive.
We’ll be lending a hand in their communal mental health garden, giving it a spring clean. The space provides a safe, calming environment that supports wellbeing, social connection and therapeutic activities, and tidying it will make it more accessible and enjoyable for everyone who uses it.
Tasks are likely to include:
- Weeding beds and borders
- Clearing fallen leaves and debris
- Pruning overgrown plants
- Tidying pathways
- Preparing planting areas
Everyone is welcome to join - no previous experience is required and all tools and instructions will be provided.
How to join
There are two ways to join:
Option 1 – Run from the Aquatics Centre (sign-up above)
Meet at Stratford Aquatics Centre and we’ll leave together at 18:45 to run to the task.Option 2 – Meet at the task

Whichever option you choose, we’ll spend around an hour helping in the garden. Come along for some fresh air, teamwork and the chance to make a real difference to a community space. 🌱
