Make sure food goes to local communities that need it

Date and time
09:00 - 12:00Lambeth's Healthy Living Platform is a social enterprise offering activities which benefit the health and well-being of the community. To help families during COVID-19, Healthy Living Platform set up an emergency food hub inside Brixton Rec which arranges for surplus food to be distributed to local community centres.
Volunteers are needed to help inside hub, packing and moving crates of food and unloading/loading delivery vans. The hub operates Monday-Friday and they've asked for some GoodGym muscle from 9am-12.
There's a very friendly atmosphere, with a fantastic team that are very dedicated to helping the vulnerable and those in need during the pandemic and you'll even be able to learn skills about food distribution and logistics!
The team there will be super grateful for any extra help they can get.
Please bring a mask with you. 🤿 The meeting spot is in Brixton Rec (where the swimming pool and gym etc. are) and although there may not be any other GoodGymmers, the team there will show you the ropes.
Email me if you have any questions.
Thanks! :)
How are you getting there?
