An AMAZING 24 runners came along to complete two tasks at Clarence Gardens!

We welcomed three brand new runners to GoodGym, let's give a huge GG York welcome to:

We were also very lucky to have along two lovely GoodGym tourists, huge cheers to Anna from Hackney and the famous Debs who I think has gone to more different GoodGyms than anyone else, ever!

After a 2km run we were met by the smiley Iain with his huge van of tools. He told us there were two tasks which needed completing. One of the tasks was weeding the borders and the other was cutting back all the grass and weed around the lavender plants.

What's your view on which ones are weeds?! - Leanne, GG Yorkie

(shortly after)

If in doubt, cut it out! - Also Leanne

We aren't the best at establishing weeds and non-weeds but we gave Iain a really good workout as he ran back and forth giving us horticultural info.

Meanwhile, GG Yorkie and top forager, Carl, found a lovely sweet smelling plant which is something to do with pineapples and makes a lovely tea apparently.

With five minutes remaining, the lavender team came over to help finish off the borders and the difference from start to finish was absolutely amazing. Our new runners Dan and Josie had done an impeccable job of one section, it was beautifully raked and entirely clear of anything that could ever be possibly identified as a weed.

We finished up with the newly named CONES OF SPEED workout, a mad team race with several circuit stations including the infamous invisible hula hooping. After a few rounds of 'heads, shoulders, knees and cones', we ran the 2km back to base.

Great job everybody!
